WW1 Gallipoli Tour Turkey

SoR proudly supports & donates to the

A battlefield tour is generally as good as the guide who takes it. He or she may know their history, but can they make it come alive? Happily Spirit of Remembrance have guides who not only know history, they can also make the life, experience and decisions of the soldiers on the ground come vividly alive. They can set this in the context of the weapons and tactics employed at the time. However the experienced guide can do more than this – he or she can take their group to sites unvisited by the majority of parties. This may be the ridges, gullies and beaches of Gallipoli or equally the restaurants, bazaars and shops in the vibrant city of Istanbul. When the group returns to the UK they will not have done a tour – they will have been on an adventure.  Your guide is the very experienced John Ross or Colonel Christopher Newbould - many of you will already know Christopher from last year's Gallipoli Association tour.
