About Rhydian:

After Eton College and Mons Officer Cadet School, Rhydian was commissioned into the Welsh Guards in 1968. During his 9 years in the Army, he served in Germany, Texas, Norway, Cyprus, Sharjah, a tour in Northern Ireland, London District and finished his military career as operations officer in Berlin, during the cold war.

After a spell in the Lloyds of London Insurance Market, he has spent a career in Management Training/Talent development, helping others to work to their full potential and maximise their business opportunities.

Rhydian has been Battlefield Guiding since 2000 with eclectic groups, large and small, old and young. Passion is his driving force and bringing history to life: his strap line is “Without a passionate Guide, a battlefield is just a field”.

He is a member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides and is Vice President of his branch of the Royal British Legion.
