Your depth of knowledge, your emotional involvement in the experience of the soldiers, your attention to every detail of the four days, your sensitivity to our interests, your warmth and friendliness made every minute and every visit a pleasure for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. PH (female) Normandy

I had no idea of the impact the tour would have on us. It completely surpassed all our expectations; we learnt so much and found the whole experience immensely moving and interesting.  JA (female) Ypres

Johnny was a fantastic guide and a truly lovely travelling companion. You obviously had the very best for us.  Countess B (Female) letter to the Master of a Livery Company. Western Front

I must admit to not being terribly keen to join the tour when the subject was first raised. I didn’t think it was my cup of tea. How wrong I was!! Your knowledge, passion and enthusiasm made the tour very special for all of us. VY (female) Ypres, Vimy Ridge and the Somme

Without a doubt you made the trip come alive for us all. You explained it so carefully, in detail and at a level we could all understand. Thank you.  WG (female) Ypres, Vimy Ridge and the Somme.

It is clear that our trip was a great success and my thanks for the skill and understanding you showed for our varied party.  Captain (Retd) M Gurkha Rifles. Normandy

Once again you gave us all a very interesting and enjoyable battlefield tour, you managed to make it fun at the same time as making us all aware of the sacrifice and destruction that had taken place.  JF (female) who I had previously taken them to the Western Front. Father deceased but was in the Normandy landings in 1944.

We were so impressed by the brilliant way it was all organized. It has left us with memories that will remain with us forever. I wish now that I had discussed it more with my father who was in the Life Guards.  SB Ypres, Vimy Ridge and the Somme

…………………..thank you very much for giving us such a real insight into the battle front of the Great War. I have bored anyone who will listen with a few stories but the memories will linger for ever.  MC Ypres, Vimy ridge and the Somme

Thank you for describing the scenes of battle so vividly. Your planning and execution of the operation was exemplary, delivered with sufficient firmness to keep us on our toes and allowing everyone time to see all that you had planned.  AB (female) Ypres, Vimy Ridge and the Somme. Her husband had three members of his family on the Thiepval Memorial.

"What an amazing few days we had with you on the Western Front and we are still thinking about it and talking lots.  I didn't really know what to expect but is was beyond expectations and so moving.  To see my grandfather's name and my great uncles's grave was incredible ......." Jo from Sussex, UK

"Thank you so much for giving us such a splendid trip to Normandy.  We were both rather ignorant of the details of the D-Day landings but we have learnt a great deal over these past few days.  You painted a wonderful picture of all that happened and of the total commitment of all those involved"  Robert & Ruth from Nottinghamshire, UK

"a brilliant battlefield tour - the professional way you set the scenes and vividly described the action, not only at Corps level but also the fascinating individual acts of great courage and heroism" Anthony from Lincolnshire, UK
