As far as I am concerned, I can't forget to mention Fromelles : a visit as a battle field followed by explanations about military archaelogy and training would be great. As a application, why not starting research for a site to explore ?

Operation Mincemeat : from a corpse to William Martin or the deception preparing operation Husky. Cruise from UK to Spain (the place William Martin was found), visit of his burial place at Huelgo, a tour to Sardinia in order to explore the defences followed by Sicily (the first days of Husky). We often forget that the Channel Islands were the only part of UK to be occupied. So a tour would be good and specially visiting the concentration camps on Aurigny; moreover, later after D-Day, the Channels were still occupied.
